Social Media for Art

Welcome to OpenStudios, a social media platform for art! Whether you’re an artist or an
art lover, there’s lots you can enjoy on this site. Start by creating your profile, where you
can upload pictures of your art and show it to other members. You are not required to
list your art for sale, so upload your entire collection for members to enjoy and connect
with.

Make Some Money

Switch your art to “Available for Sale” if you wish to sell your collection.
If you would like to make more money over time, select “Available for Rent.” Renting to
members allows you to retain ownership of your art while collecting passive income on
your rentals (start to think of you art as “rental property”).

Buy or Rent

As a member, you will be able to purchase or rent art. Renting is an easy any cheap
way to refresh your home or office with new art, plus you are supporting local artists. We
will track art to see how far around the world each piece has travelled over time. Then
we will give awards to art that has travelled the most!

Search for Art

OpenStudios is built around searchability. Each piece of art will have several hashtags
that can be used to quickly search for all types of art. Use the search tool to find art
based on five categories:
1. Originality (i.e. Original, print, duplicate, etc.)
2. Subject (i.e. Animals, landscape, people, etc.)
3. Medium (i.e. Acrylic, metals, pottery, etc.)
4. Style (i.e. Abstract, mosaic, modern, etc.)
5. Feeling (i.e. Calm, energetic, powerful, etc.)
